SAMI & CHULI FIGUEIRIDO
IN SPAIN SERVING WITH THE GREAT COMMISSION
|
Pastor Sami is one of the newer missionaries,
introduced to Grace through the Spiveys who led him to Christ during
their years of missionary work in Spain. Sami is now shepherding a group
of believers. His priority is teaching the Word and discipling several
men on a one on one basis. The flock is young in their faith. They would
ask for prayers that they encourage others to a strong relationship with
Christ, that they are servants, meek and humble. Their church includes a
diverse group with some who are Spaniards, some from Brazil or Cuba.
Some formerly involved in witchcraft and drugs and others from Christian
backgrounds. We are excited to be involved in Spain again. |

Sam & Rachel Paulson Pioneers
|
The Lord has given me and my wife Rachel an opportunity to serve Him in the great needy country of India. From the very beginning of our ministry in 1980, the Lord burdened us to reach the unreached people in our country. We started our ministry by door to door visitation, street meetings and prayer centers. In 1985 we realized that we alone cannot do this great ministry and we began to train men and women. With limited resources we started recruiting men and women for this great task. By late 1990's the Lord has given a team of evangelists and we began to labor among the unreached people. We began to face more and more persecution as we began to go deep into the villages and tribal people. In spite of many threats and physical harm to our teams we kept our burden before the Lord and our dear friends like Grace. As our friends began to uphold us in prayers and support, the Lord began to show us open doors and various opportunities. The Lord blessed the ministry and we started two Christian schools to meet the spiritual and educational needs of the neglected children who spend their time laboring in the fields and in difficult circumstances. AS we started these schools we have received much resistance from the local people. But the Lord slowly opened the hearts of the people and they began to send children to our schools. We began to share the message of Christ through moral teachings and VBS and other activities. We praise the Lord for this opportunity to meet the children and their families. We also began to receive more and more applications for the Bible training. With the payers and commitment of the church family of Grace we began to expand our facilities in a spacious location outside Hyderabad. Grace has been a great blessing for our lives as the leadership has accepted Rachel and me with open arms and showed their willingness to our sending church. We rejoice in the Lord for the faithful prayers and support of Grace Community Church and its leadership. With your faithful prayers and support we are confident to reach new heights in touching the hearts of people with the love of Christ. |
